The use of technology in the delivery of today’s learning situation is an essential

factor in the attainment of quality Basic Learning Education now a days.

Under the DepEd Order No. 12 s. 2020 known as the “Adoption of the Basic
Education Learning Continuity Plan for School Year 2020-2021 in Light of the COVID-
19 Public Health Emergency paragraph No. 3 The BE-LCP stands on the following
principles: a.) Protect the health, safety, and well-being of learners, teachers, and
personnel and prevent the further transmission of COVID-19 b.) Ensure learning
continuity through K to 12 Curriculum adjustments, alignment of learning materials,
deployment of multiple learning delivery modalities, provision of corresponding trainings
for teachers and school leaders and proper orientation of parents and guardians of
learners.

DISCUSSIONS

Schools now gradually using the Blended Learning Delivery Mode featuring the
on-line class through google meet, google classroom, group video calls, zoom and the
likes in line with the BE-LCP of the Division. However, students are still contained in
their houses to learn through the Self Learning Modules accompanied with this new
technology through on-line platforms. While it is true that it’s a must for our learners to
continue their Basic Education through the above-mentioned modality but there is also a
need for our learners to be updated on the current trend of Technological learning
deliveries specially that there is no face-to-face learning delivery mode. In addition, the
reality of confusion to our students is still an unhidden dilemma of the todays Basic
Education implementation. Students are still hard up to adjust with the present situation.
With these problems, educators, ensuring professional development continuum,
need to model exemplary skills in the development and evaluation of teaching and
learning resources. Considering the learning styles of the students they need a platform
that will boost their interest. They are into something new and something with a twist to
keep them motivated to learn. These descriptions suit Kotobee Applications.
In the monitoring conducted through on-line platforms and home visitation, it was
found out that many of the learners now are already equipped with some of the mobile
applications, such as face book, email, power directors and the likes. Thus,
electronically made instructional materials could be of great help as supplemental to the
SLMs and LAS.
In an analysis of student’s perception towards the interactive e-book conducted
by Rahmadani et. al. (2019), result indicated that students have positive perception
toward the interactive e-book with the average mean score of 3.15. Shemy (2017) also
pointed out in his study that there were statistically significant differences at (0.05)
between the mean scores of the two experimental groups, total control and directed
control, in favor of directed control in the attitude towards interactive e-books. Moreover,
in a product review given by Karlin (2017), he pointed out that Kotobee is an excellent
tool for teachers looking to create digital books to make their classroom content more
engaging.

CONCLUSION

Kotobee had been used worldwide. This offers an interactive lesson-based

activity which contain various learning activities that students will enjoy manipulating
even when they are offline.

which will be consolidated and contextualized and served as eBooks for Learners.
As the school ICT Coordinator, the project will also be used to provide technical
assistance to different teachers which are not capacitated in the use of different on-
line platforms in delivery of Blended Learning Delivery Mode.
Thus, this eBook will be uploaded to the learners, parents and
knowledgeable others. The eBooks will also be used by the teachers during their
synchronous or asynchronous on-line class. Learners, Parents and knowledgeable
others will be oriented as it is planned on the implementation of the project virtually
or in face with strict implementation of the basic health protocols.

had to carry a bag full of books every day to classrooms and back home.
With eBooks entering the educational domain, one device is enough to
include the entire year’s syllabus. These digital books can be introduced to
students at a very young age, right from kindergarten to university level, ensuring
that learning never becomes boring for them.
An effective learning system must ensure that students are actively
involved in the learning process. eBooks have brought about an educational
reform which helps students to learn better and faster.

Why You Should Create a Mobile Learning Platform

By Kotobee on May 24, 2017 in Elearning
Mobile phones are quickly replacing many items that were previously
thought to be irreplaceable. Consider, for example; cameras, calculators, watches,
alarm clocks, radios, portable video devices, magazines, newspapers, etc. All of
these items can now be stored on your mobile device – comfortably resting in
your pocket.
Today, a large number of users have also switched from reading printed
documents, to reading digitized content through mobile devices, whether they’re
reading fiction, non-fiction, short stories, etc. A growing trend in recent years, is
the utilization of mobile-based learning. This incorporates everything from fully-
fledged and heavily sponsored library apps, to standalone MOOC software, to
educational game apps and individual course hosting.
People are shifting towards doing everything they can while on-the-go. In
many ways, they can be encouraged to even study and learn through their phones.
Mobile learning is definitely on the rise, and in this article we explore the pros
and cons of mobile learning while also offering our own insight to establishing
your mobile learning strategy, along with a handful of tools you can utilize to start
creating your own mobile learning platform.
