Night Audit
Overview
In a hotel’s 24/7 business environment, guests check-in and checkout at all
hours and pay their bills through the various methods of payment (cash,
card & CL). At the end of the business day, hotels need to properly record
and reconcile guest & non-guest folios and their transactions are recorded
against revenue center transactions. Purpose of the night audit process is
to verify the same by collating revenue against various revenue heads.
