Hello my name is leonela and my presentation is about engineering,

man-made structure and the environment.
As an introduction to the topic, I will talk about the innovation of
engineers as it is closely linked to the man-made structures.I will
also talk about the advantages and disadvantages with respect to the
environment and natural resources.In this regard, important aspects
of engineering and the man-made structures as well as the
disadvantages will be discussed.

In the next slide, I will explain innovation and engineering in the
different fields of engineering.
Engineering innovation in the industrial field, this can be seen in
machines like the 3D printer that builds figures with volume from a
design made by a computer.
Also in the field of chemical engineering, where sustainable energy
and plastics are the main targets to improve the environment. In
plastics we have the minimum use of this and more in recycling,
thus innovating the creation of a product of more than a single use
and in sustainable energy we have the solar panels that transform the
sun's energy into electrical energy or thermal energy usable in the
home to produce electricity .
Another important field is biomedical engineering, which is
heavily involved in the fight against cancer, for the
betterment of society and the advancement of research and
the scientific field.
In this sense, engineering contributions in different fields help the
world to advance and progress as seen in recent times.

In the next slide, we have the advantages of engineering innovation
such as the advancement of technology, for example,
nanotechnology that is dedicated to control and manipulate matter at
a scale smaller than a micrometer, with it, there are significant
applications in health monitoring, pest detection and control and
biosecurity.
Another advantage is man-made structures, such as the
construction of houses, parks and buildings, as well as the
construction of well-known mega-structures such as the Burj Al
Arab in Dubai.
In this way, they help trade, employment and industry, becoming
a key component of a country's economy and sustainable
development. . Thus, engineering contributes to significant changes
in our environment.

As there are advantages we also have disadvantages, these lead to a
great environmental impact such as waste, noise, dust, solid waste,
toxic generation, air pollution and water pollution.
During any typical construction process and engineering innovation
are responsible for consuming a large volume of natural resources
such as energy consumption during extraction and transportation of
raw materials.
Also during these processes the public impact is influenced as
people are prone to suffer harmful effects on their health.
However, they only inflate the benefits and hide the damage to the
ecosystem and society.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, engineering innovation and man-made structure
generate unfavorable impacts in the afore mentioned scenarios.
Although it is important to mention that in turn, it also generates
positive impacts, such as the generation of employment,
construction of housing, infrastructure projects and premises for
commerce and industry, thus becoming a fundamental component
for the progress and development of the world.
