Sample Answer – Low Band 3 (about a D)

I think everyone should have a decent place to live dont you?

Its not fair when you see theese people living on parks or streets with sleeping bags in the freezing
cold begging for money, robbing stuff and picking dockers up. I think it’s a human right that
everyone should have a stable home to go to and somewhere dry on the cold wet nights.

Its not right when you see women living in scruffy damp BnB’s to keep there children warm and out
of the cold nights and the bad weather

I feel realy bad when you see people living on streets with there little dogs begging for stuff that
should not have to be done i don’t think its fair everyone should have a stable and decent home
under any circumstances some people should count them selfs lucky that they’ve got a roof over
there head and warmness.

I have noticed theese people a lot are getting illness’s maybe even dying from coldness.

But whys the council or local authoritys not doing nothing to stop theese people from living, starving
and also dying on the streets?

W2/5 (paragraphing): A clear attempt is made to present facts, ideas and opinions in an orderly way,
although there may be some insecurity in the overall structure.
W3/5 (sentence structures): Candidates write competently, using appropriate if sometimes unadventurous
vocabulary and writing sentences that mostly link ideas successfully.
W4: Candidates make a clear attempt to write with a sense of audience and there may also be some
evidence of adapting style to context.
W5 (spelling, punctuation and grammar): Candidates use punctuation and grammar competently
although the range is not strong. There may be a number of minor errors especially at the bottom of this
band and even occasional errors of sentence separation.
