Developing English Supplementary Reading material based on wetland and local wisdom for the

eleventh-grade students of Senior High School in South Kalimantan. This research was intended to develop
supplementary English Reading materials based on wetlands and local Wisdom for the eleventh-grade students
of Senior High School in South Kalimantan. In this research, the researcher adopted the research and
development model proposed by (Endang 2012:145) with the following steps: analysis, design, development,
Implementation, Evaluation. The instruments used in this research consisted of questionnaires and interviews.
The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. It is consists of predevelopment and post-
development. Predevelopment is the process of developing the materials, consisting of analysis, designing, and
developing; meanwhile, post-development will be the result of the final product, which consists of
implementation and evaluation.

Students’ Perception of English Supplementary material based on wetlands and Local Culture. The
supplementary reading materials that had been used by the researcher during the teaching practice. The aimed
this research is to explore the students’ through the supplementary reading material according to their
experience taught using the material while learning English. The data obtains using questionnaires and
interviews as the instrument and it will be delivered using descriptive quantitative method. The population of
this research will be the 247 students consisting of 132 science majoring, from four different class students and 109
social majoring students from three different classes of grade eleventh students in SMAN 4 Banjarmasin. The
researcher will choose one class that will be the sample that consists of 34 students.

A study of supplementary reading materials used by an English teacher on higher education in


Banjarmasin
The aim of this research is to explore what supplementary reading material is used and the purpose of the
teachers in the senior high school in Banjarmasin in using supplementary reading material. Data analysis will be
explained in qualitative. The instruments that will be used in this research are questionnaires and interviews.
The questionnaire will be distributed to the English teacher in several schools in Banjarmasin.
