Optimization and simulation of a buggy

To be able to analyze the cases of load on the buggy we have to divide it by sections such
as the driver, the Crash, punning among others. For this study it is important to mention
that frontal forces were applied using a value of 5N and 2N. However the other forces
were 0.25 N.
The analysis lasted approximately 2 hours since each force is independent of each other
with variations of values from 0.25 to 5N different application zones and by the design
of the part and its supports with different forces.
After performing the optimization we have as a result the final design for this Buggy
without having unnecessary material thus reducing the weight as well as its production
cost. This final design has safety factor within the allowed range then could be put into
production. The values that most affected the design were found on the sides of it, but
always within the safety ranges.

Conclusions:

Using the Altair software we can perform a structural analysis that allows us to compare
the results obtained before applying the analysis. After the topological optimization we
can verify that the resistance that this structure has is within the ranges of safety factors
as for manufacturing.

In addition, through this software we can apply all the variables to which the final design
will be subjected to obtain mechanical results of efforts to which it will be subjected to
the structure before manufacturing it. Thanks to this the design costs are much lower than
in the traditional way
