Once upon a time, there was a town ruled by a greedy and arrogant king.

King Barabbas was feared by

his subjects but they also secretly hated him. The king knew nothing else to do but to command and
rebuke his servants. Even its commands are impossible to do and unreasonable. The king loved to eat,
sleep and waste his wealth.

There was great tribulation in his kingdom. Farmers ‘harvests were poor and traders’ sales were weak.
Everyone in the kingdom was commanded to save in order to escape the hardship they were
experiencing.

After all, everyone had their own way to save except one person. The king himself, Barabbas, did not
obey his command. It does not care that the people under its jurisdiction are suffering. He continues to
squander his wealth on worthless things.

While everyone was frugal and only ate once a day, the king was like a feast if he cooked for his slaves.
He prepares different dishes of different expensive kinds of food. And what’s even worse is that he only
eats what he cooks. Even if the food is too much, he does not invite his housemates or the people to eat
with him. What he does not consume he just leaves until it is completely spoiled and can no longer be
eaten.

One day while the king was feasting in front of his palace an old beggar approached. The beggar asked
for alms even for food to satisfy his hunger but the king ignored the old man. Instead, he pushed it
away. He said he lost his appetite because of the bad smell of the beggar.

The beggar became angry and told the king that because of his greed he would give him a lesson he
would never forget. Before the old man had finished speaking, there was a sudden thunder and
lightning. The king gradually changed form. It screams apologizing to the old man but it’s all too late.
Suddenly the old man disappeared as the king became a full -fledged plant.

The people saw all that was happening and when they approached the plant they saw its fruit. It is
rounded and has a crown on top. This is their king Barabbas who because of greed has become a plant.

From then on they called the plant guava from the name of King Barabbas.
