Good evening to one and all present here,

Today, I Aditi and my co-anchors Tanya, Fariha and Dhananya on behalf of eco club of

Ramjas college to welcome you all on thus beautiful Tuesday evening in the

webinar of e-waste management.

Now I would like my co-anchor fariha to take over the stage and give a brief about eco club.

Eco club intro- Fariha

Eco-Club of Ramjas College stands for all that is sustainable, secure and safe for all. It aims to find and
adopt means and ideas that pave ways for us - a greener future and a harmonious ecosystem in and
around the college campus. The Eco-Club also acts to assist in directing all the stakeholders of the
college to a more ecofriendly and environmentally awarding acts. The club strongly believes in the
notion “act locally and think globally”. Though young but actively gaining its momentum towards
building a strong environmentally sound culture, the Eco-Club of Ramjas College continuously conducts
and hosts webinars and seminars on Environmental Awareness, theoretically rigorous discussions and
workshops on Ecology, field trips with experts on Biodiversity, Cleanliness drives and also takes parts on
international days.

To further add the efforts towards Sustainable Development Goals, the public especially the youth of
the countries need to be sufficiently sensitized about the multiple dimensions of environment and
development. Awareness and understanding of environmental issues provide the basis and rationale for
commitment and meaningful action towards safe, secured, and sustainable surroundings and a happy
world for all.

In that regard Few Programs that the Eco-Club has conducted include

A Webinar on Dragonflies and Their Behaviour on 24th September 2020:

The expert invited was Nazneen, author and nature photographer

A Webinar on Biodiversity Profile of India and conservation status on 15th February 2021
Expert Invited was Dr. Abhilash D of Central Academy for State Forest Service, Dehradun

The club also undertook the Plantation of Medicinal plants in our college garden on 07th September
2021.

To conclude We in EcoClub this year are planning to make our college greener, safer and restoring. But
Before we dwell further into the seminar let us first take a look at the sustainable legacy of our
institution i.e. Ramjas college. Now i would like my co anchor Aditi to take over.

It gives me immense pleasure to say that we are part of Ramjas college. Ramjas was found on may 14,
1917

by Rai kedarnath a great educationist and philanthropist, and is often recognized as one of the
foundation

colleges of universities of Delhi.

Ramjas continues to enrich the lives of students with its great facilities , talented faculties and liberal

environment, despite its centaury long history.

We are honored to have today our principal Dr. Manoj kumar Khanna from department of electronics.

he had completed his bachelors , masters and PhD from university of Delhi itself.

He believes that essence of Ramjas college is described in 4 words that is recognized by one and all:

VIBRANT-Pulsating with life , vigor and activities

VIRTUOUS- Upholding high values and standards

INSPIRING- Inculcating confidence and desire to be different

VIBRANT- Creating conditions under which each one in the college can realize his/her highest potential.

Now i would like to request our respected principal sir to address audience with his words of wisdom.

Thank you Aditi.

Tanya(vice principal sir intro):-

1)..Due to really busy schedule , our vice principal and convenor of IQAC dr. Hemant kumar rajor is not
able to come. But he has given his best wishes to all . We are so grateful to sir for providing us with this
opportunity of organizing the webinar on E- waste management.(pause)

“cycling gives health to one ,

But e- waste recycling gives health to all”

On this thought I would like to give the stage to my co anchor dhananya to introduce us with our today’s
speaker, dhananya stage is all yous now.

Speaker end

Thank you sir for the insightful knowledge about the topic. I am sure that audience will diligently follow
the path you enlightened .

I also wanted to add an information while most people assume that recycling requires a lot of time and
energy to produce but proper recycling can actually save energy .if 1 million laptops were recycled to
being thrown into landfills, enough energy would be saved to power approximately 3,600 houses for a
year.

Now I request our eco club nodal officer mr.ojit sir to give a vote of thanks.

Dhananya –now this webinar is open for q and a session you can drop your questions in the chat box.
