Lesson Topic: Editorial News; its types, characteristics, and structure
Lesson Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
a. Given an assortment of Editorial news articles, the students should be able to
correctly identify which of the given articles are Editorial of Entertainment, Editorial of Information, Mood Editorial, Pooled Editorial, Editorial of Interpretation, Editorial of Commendation, Editorial of Criticism, and Editorial of Argumentation and score at least 27 out of 30 items (90%). b. The students should be able to write a full editorial news article using the correct format and structure and score at least 90% percent or higher on the Editorial Newswriting scoring guide. c. After watching a news report presented by the teacher, the students should be able to grasp the report’s main idea and write an Editorial News article about it following the correct format and taking into account the characteristics of the Editorial news; and score at least 90% percent or higher on the Editorial Newswriting scoring guide.
