The Greatest People of the Century

General Instructions:

- The project will be completed in small groups (3 students max).

- Everybody has to work equally.
- Be as creative as possible and email your teacher in case you have doubts or need help.

For level 2, you will create a timeline in which you will include 7 people you consider have been
great influencers, leaders, or have contributed to humanity at a great scale in the last century (en
el ultimo siglo). Place them in chronological order (birthdate).

For each of these people include:

-10 sentences explaining who they were and what they did.

Please monitor your use of the verb to be in past form (was/were), as well as the simple past for
other verbs. Plagiarism will be penalized. When consulting sources, make sure you cite them and
use paraphrasing appropriately when needed.

Part 1: INITIAL PROCESS (draft). Due date: February 18th (10%).

a. Inspiration stage: Use Canva (https://www.canva.com/graphs/mind-maps/ ) or another

website of your preference to generate a mid-map where you brainstorm and decide the
people you will talk about. This will help you to organize your work!

b. Getting into action!

Start writing about each person. You can create a shared Google Docs so that everybody can
feed it with information. Please make sure you check everybody’s contributions. Monitor the
correct use of grammar, vocabulary and punctuation. Each paragraph for each person must
contain a minimum of 10 sentences.

Contact your teacher in case you have doubts.

Part 2: FINAL STAGE. Due date: March 7th. (10% final product, 10% oral presentation).

Now that you have the information of those people, it is time to make it all look beautiful. Choose
a website of your preference where you can put all your information so that everything looks like a
professional and appealing material people want to read! Let your creativity fly!!

When you submit your final work, please include:

-The draft with the corrections highlighted in yellow.

-The final product (use any website of your choice to generate it).
The PPT of the presentation: Choose your 3 favorite people and present them to the class (1 per
student).
