THINGS TO DO DAILY’

Dear Students

Good habits are what make us walk the path to success. The best time to instil positive changes and
additions to ourselves and our daily routine is ‘now’.

Listed below are some things that you need to do daily so that they become intrinsic to you.

1. Getting up early! Early morning is the best time of the day, so get up at 7 am if not before.
2. Make your bed and freshen up immediately. Take a bath or shower.
3. The blessings of your elders is the first thing you should seek after that. Touch their feet and
wish them.
4. Do at least 5 Suryanamaskars daily. More if you can!
5. Attend school/ online classes diligently with full focus and positivity.
6. Always finish everything on your plate during mealtimes. Take smaller portions, more helpings,
but do not waste food. Also wash your own plate after the meal and clean the dining table too!
7. Help your mother and father for at least an hour daily. It doesn’t have to be one hour of help
together. You can spend some time helping your parents with various chores around the house
during the entire day. Folding clothes, washing utensils, cleaning the house, keeping your toys
away neatly, taking care of siblings, watering the plants, anything that is of help to them.
8. Restrict your screen time to one hour maximum. This does not include your online class time.
9. If you want to visit the world from the safety of your home, just pick up a book. Books are a
window to the world. Read at least 3 to 5 pages of a book daily. You can always read more!
10. Write at least one page daily. This will help improve your handwriting, presentation and writing
speed. (Nursery children can do doodling activity as a pre-writing skill)
11. Learn at least one new thing during these vacations, and/or pick up at least one new hobby.
12. Say thank you to the almighty before going to bed. Thank God for keeping you and your family
safe during the pandemic. Promise God that you will ensure that you and your entire family and
friends will follow all n-COVID 19 related protocols, wash your hands frequently and not step out
of the house needlessly and always wear a mask when steeping out. You will be the Police for
your family and ensure rules are followed.

Some of these things you are to do during the vacation time, but most are lifelong habits you must try
and inculcate for a better ‘you’.

Note for Parents:

Students are to maintain a chart of these activities and you must sign it daily. Parents, you can give your
honest remarks on all the tasks set for the children and how they have attempted them during the
vacation. You need to sign this ‘Task Chart’ daily. When school resumes in June the Teacher will ask all
students to show the image of their Task Chart to their friends in the class.

Happy Holidays!
