Dear Hung,

How are things? I hope you are doing well. It has been ages since I wrote to you. I was
very busy with my board examinations. It is a big step towards my future. Well, you’ve
asked me whether if I pursue tertiary education or go to work. I would attend higher
education for sure.

As you know, I’m such a nerd and only theoretical knowledge would satisfy my studious
and goal-oriented soul. Don’t get me wrong, I mean applying for vocational training after
leaving high school is also awesome but I’d love to burn the candles at both ends to
possess formal applications before having practical experiences. Since we’re living in a
knowledge-based society, getting a Bachelor’s degree can offer us great conveniences
and opportunities. First, at universities, I can learn essential skills needed for plum jobs.
You know I can’t become a lawyer or get a plum job without having a relevant degree.
The cherry on the cake is taking admission to colleges can help me to build long-term
relationships. The connections I’ll make can challenge my ideas and even bring new
insight to me!! During that learning period, maybe I’ll realize that I should watch
everything like a hawk instead of looking through rose-colored glasses. Don’t you think
that attending universities is great too?

Well, it’s getting late now, need to be fresh tomorrow morning. By the way, what do you
think about our going skydiving for the Nha Trang trip next summer? I think once in our
life, we should give it a whirl. Looking forward to your reply!!
