DIFFERENCE OF RA 318 AND RA 9297

- In Article 1 of RA 318, it mostly described the Organization of Board, on how to register or to

get a position as a board members. While in Article 1 of RA 9297, the whole article stated the
title, statement policy, definition of terms and scope of practice such as consultation requiring
chemical engineering knowledge, skill and also proficiency, planning, designing and etc.

- In Article 1 of RA 318 there are section for compensation of boards, removal of board
members, rules and regulations, and also for annual reports. While in Article 1 of RA 9297, it is
solely to define the terms, title, and scope of practice.

- There are only four articles in RA 318 and 5 articles in RA 9297.

- The exact amount of time and money for compensation/penalty to those neglecting the
regulations are only indicated in RA 9297.

- The complete qualifications for examinations are indicated in RA 318 such the age.

- There is a section for indication of license number and priviledge tax receipt payment in RA
9297.

- In Article 2 of RA 318 it discussed the Registration and examination while in Article 2 of RA

9297, it stated there the creation of the professional regulatory board for chemical engineers.

- In Article 3 of RA 318 it talked about the provision relative to the practice of Chemical
Engineering. While in Article 3 of RA 9297 it is for licensure examination and registration.

-Article 4 of RA 318 is where stated the provisions, the final provisions for all the members.
While in Article 4 of RA 9297 is where the practice of Chemical Engineering is stated.

-Article 5 of RA 9297 is talked about the general provisions for those neglecting the rules, and
also the compensation for those members of the boards.
