Australia also celebrates Christmas on December 25th, but they celebrate in the heat of their
summer season.  School is coming to an end and the summer vacation, and Christmas, is just
around the corner.  You can find many people in Australia shopping for their Christmas gifts in
shorts and summer shirts. Santa often arrives on surf boards and in Bermuda shorts or eight
„white kangaroos” draw his sleigh. They put up a gum tree, and they have a barbeque in the
backyard or a picnic on a beach. „Carols by Candlelight” is on Christmas Eve every year,
where tens of thousands of people gather in the city of Melbourne to sing their favorite
Christmas songs.
