painting, you can also see half of the new painting he
started a few days ago

heat up. He closes his eyes while letting the hot water fall
on his chest. he has no expressions on his face.

Lee steps out of the shower and wears his clothes. He makes
the drawing materials ready.

INT. KITCHEN. CONT’D

Lee walks to the kitchen/dining table, dialing a number on

his phone and calling his agent to ask about his painting,
while washing an uncleaned cooking vessel.
LEE

Hello.... hey about the painting.....

what do you mean he doesn’t wanna
show it.....it took me fifteen days.

AGENT (V.O.)

Look lee, the seats are full try

making a better piece next time.....
.

LEE
....... Alright, I’m already working
on it.

Lee grabs the uncooked pasta, boils it and puts the sauce in
it. He takes the cooked pasta to the living room.

INT. LIVING ROOM. NIGHT

He turns on the tv with the remote while siting on his couch

with the fork in his mouth.

He takes one bite of the pasta and doesn’t seem to like it.

Wait a minute... I'm almost there.

Lee pulls his phone out of his pocket to pass some time

EXT. CAR. DAY

Lee and his mom are in his car, she is going to the airport
to go back home.
MOM

So are you happy with your

new job?

LEE

Its alright…. Just gets too

Stressful sometimes….. also you
know this isn’t really my thing. Lee looks
at her and looks back at the road.

MOM

You still like painting right?...

Just like dad.

MOM

Your father was very good at

painting, but it never really helped
him in anyway.

Lee smiles at her in an emotional way

Lee’s phone rings. He reaches out for the phone in his

pocket. As he learns his boss is calling him his mood
becomes more sad.

LEE
Hello?..
5.

From his mom’s side of the car a truck hits.

THE PRESENT

LEE IS IN THE SAME POSITION AS BEFORE WITH THE PASTA BOWL IN

HIS HAND AND HE IS TEARING UP.

INT. BEDROOM. MIDNIGHT

THE CLOCK SHOWS AROUND 12PM. THIS TIME YOU GET A GOOD LOOK
OF HIS ROOM. NOW YOU CAN SEE THE MOON FROM HIS WINDOW.

HE SITS ON HIS LITTLE CHAIR IN FRONT OF THE PAINTING AND

NOTICES THE FINISHED PAINTING WHICH HE WAS UNABLE TO SELL,
THERE IS DISAPPOINTMENT HIS FACE. HE REACHES OUT TO REMOVE
THE PAINTING WHILE BARELY STANDING AND SLOWLY DROPS THE
PAINTING NEAR HIM.

HE PICKS THE BRUSH AND DIPS IT IN THE PAINT, HE SLOWLY

STARTS PAINTING THE UNFINISHED PIECE.

NOW YOU GET A GOOD LOOK OF THE PAINTING UNLIKE THE LAST TIME
HE SAW IT. THE PAINTING IS DARK LIKE HIS LIFE, BUT ITS
BEAUTIFUL.

the moon is perfectly visible from his window and you can
see how he is trying to replicate it.

THE NEXT DAY

INT. ART GALLERY. CONT'D

Lee proudly looking at his painting displayed at the art

gallery. The painting has a sold tag. His agent is in the
background talking to a guest about other painting which he
considers better. the agent walks up to lee when he is done
talking to the guest, he shakes lee's hand and hands him the
payment.

Agent This
is your payment....
6.

Lee

LEE CHECKS THE CASH INSIDE THE ENVELOPE AND ITS A SMALL
AMOUNT. HE IGNORES IT AND CONTINUES TO ADMIRE HIS PAINTING.
