Answer the following question:

A diode (in Figure 01) is operating at room

temperature with an internal resistance, 𝑟𝐷 = 25 Ω.

Now, find the voltage drop, 𝑉𝑑 across the diode and

the current, 𝐼𝑑 flowing through the diode.
[Use the piecewise linear model of the diode for
analysis]

N.B.- If the last digit of your ID is even then consider

the diode is made up of silicon, otherwise consider the
diode is made up of germanium.
