order to be sustainable…
“In order to be sustainable, the long-term growth rate of the population should not differ much from
0%. That is because a growth rate exceeding 0% has exponential implications. In simple terms: if a
combination of birth and growth figures only appears to cause a modest population growth initially,
then this seems to imply an explosive growth in the longer term”.

For what I understand about the said paragraph it says that the moment that the growth rate exceeds
0% it will create a more or huge growth in as time goes by.
