Standard Operational Procedure Template

Title:
 Calculating emissions using emission factors
Scope:
Using Emission Factors, this operational process aims to offer a standard for calculating emissions
on Ocean Blue product suppliers. Emission Factors are used by all of our textile suppliers to
calculate emissions.
Procedure
An emission factor is a technique that is used to calculate environmental emissions.
It must adhere to the following guidelines:
 Examine the power usage for each manufacturing process, taking into account the specific
consumption of each device and equipment.
 Compare data from each device to see if the overall process consumption is right.
 Recognize areas where consumption could be decreased.
 Create a new electricity consumption policy that ensures minimal and necessary quantities,
as well as a zero tolerance for waste.
 Implement new policies and keep an eye on them.
Responsibilities:
 Management from supplier: develop and apply the new policy
 Ocean Blue: monitor the electricity consumption to guarantee zero wastage
 Supplier: provide a detailed report on the emission factors
