Title:
Calculating emissions using emission factors
Scope:
Using Emission Factors, this operational process aims to offer a standard for calculating emissions
on Ocean Blue product suppliers. Emission Factors are used by all of our textile suppliers to
calculate emissions.
Procedure
An emission factor is a technique that is used to calculate environmental emissions.
It must adhere to the following guidelines:
Examine the power usage for each manufacturing process, taking into account the specific
consumption of each device and equipment.
Compare data from each device to see if the overall process consumption is right.
Recognize areas where consumption could be decreased.
Create a new electricity consumption policy that ensures minimal and necessary quantities,
as well as a zero tolerance for waste.
Implement new policies and keep an eye on them.
Responsibilities:
Management from supplier: develop and apply the new policy
Ocean Blue: monitor the electricity consumption to guarantee zero wastage
Supplier: provide a detailed report on the emission factors
