1. What is your idea of arts and how is it related to man’s daily life?
For me art is part of our lives. Art forces humans to look beyond that
which is necessary to survive and leads people to create for the sake of
expression and meaning. Art can communicate information, shape our
everyday lives, make a social statement and be enjoyed for aesthetic
beauty.
2. Differentiate ARTIST FROM ARTISANS
Artists work in the fine arts, including painting, illustration and sculptures
while artisans are craftsmen who work in textiles, pottery, glass and
other areas.
3. What are the different classifications of arts?
The different classification of arts are the traditional categories within the
arts include literature (including poetry, drama, story, and so on), the
visual arts (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.), the graphic arts (painting,
drawing, design, and other forms expressed on flat surfaces), the plastic
arts (sculpture, modeling), the decorative arts (enamelwork, furniture
design, mosaic, etc.), the performing arts (theatre, dance, music), music
(as composition), and architecture (often including interior design).
4. Discuss your concept of or perspective on the nature of
humanities?
My concept of or perspective on the nature of humanities is that it’s
focused on the elevated appreciation of the arts and the humanities
through shared experiences.
5. What is humanities?
Humanities is a branch of knowledge that concern themselves with
human beings and their culture or with analytic and critical methods of
inquiry derived from an appreciation of human values and of the unique
ability of the human spirit to express itself.
