 UNLESS = IF NOT
Eg: Unless you tell me the truth, I will walk away.
 BUT FOR…. = 3rd IF type
Eg: If the ground hadn’t been so muddy, we would have won the game.
But for the ground, we would have won the game.

The ground was very soft.

If the ground hadn’t been so soft, my horse would have won.
But for that, my horse would have won.

 If I WERE….. NOT If I WAS

Eg: If I were you, I wouldn’t do that.
