In the path to purchase cycle first stage is consumer’s awareness. When a consumer is aware
about his need, he starts looking for different brands or different option to fulfill his needs that
time he is in shopper stage. When they go to the purchase environment he is shopper. He has got
multiple categories, multiple numbers of segments and sub-segments to solve his problem. He
picks up a brand which have higher value proposition or strong value proposition then other
brands he sees. Then he goes to the phase of trying the brand and during trying he either
purchase as a smaller quantity or big quantity. Once its done he buys it and it is his one cycle of
path to purchase. After that by evaluate the disposition of the products and by evaluate the
degree of the involvement of the product and based on the category or sub category he
experienced he will either choose the same brand or another brand in his next purchase and this
is his path to purchase.
