WHEREAS: On Thursday, February 17, 2022, Congressman Jim Hagedorn passed away at the age of

59; and

WHEREAS: Congressman Hagedorn proudly served Minnesota’s First District since 2019; and

WHEREAS: Congressman Hagedorn grew up in both Virginia and Minnesota; and

WHEREAS: Congressman Hagedorn attended George Mason University and earned a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Government and Politics; and

WHEREAS: The State of Minnesota requests that all flags be lowered to honor and remember
Congressman Hagedorn’s life and service.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, TIM WALZ, Governor of Minnesota, do hereby order all United States flags and
Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state buildings in the State of Minnesota immediately until sunset on
Saturday, February 19, 2022, in honor and remembrance of Congressman Jim Hagedorn.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set


my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State
of Minnesota to be affixed at the State Capitol
