The Uk (and limited USA) healthcare market and how this has
changed over the last 30 years or so. 

What we want to show :

Slant being on an ever increasing ageing population increasing the

need for care, showing a shift and moving away from historic care
homes / institutions and an increase toward care based in the
community, with a stronger bias on the positive need for ‘care at
home.’ Aka domiciliary care / community care / care in the
community /social care / continuing health care/  home care / live in
care/ community based care providers 

NOTE on below : ‘Recent years’ meaning the last 30 if possible

more or less acceptable 

1. Looking at the ageing population - we want to show how this has

changed (increased) over recent years
2. How has the "domiciliary care market increased over recent years?
3. Average ages of men/woman requiring care & support ? How has
this changed 
4. how long people are in community care for ? And how this has
changed 
5. What types of care are required over 65. And also under 65? And
how this has changed 
6. how many hours on average are provided 'per adult ?. In England
today , showing how this has increased ? 
7. NHS bed blockers increased or decreased ?
8. Are there less hospital beds available now than before ? How many
? How has this changed ? 
9. What are UK lifespans Increasing by on average? What age are
men women when they die? 
10. What' conditions' are we living with in older age that impact on
support required to stay safe ?
11. Have nursing/residential / care homes England Increased or
decreased over the last 30 years? How ? 
12. What is the average spend per person On care in
England/Wales.For
A)Private care
B)Social care
C)NHS continuing health care 
13) How many mental health institute's have/are closing down last 20
years.

We need to show impact of moving away from institutions to living in

the community and how this has changed. over the years ?

15) how does the private market for ‘home care’ compare to the
fastest growing business sectors in UK today? 
We need to find the statistics /reasons that support this growth.

16)Are people choosing to remain in their own homes rather than go

into a nursing I care/ residential home?

ARGUMENT, being THEY WANT TO REceive' CARE AT HOME' 

18. Q: How has dementia increased

A: and what does this mean to the community care/home care market?
We need to show a trend of increased time living with dementia for
more adults for longer periods of their lives showing a positive trend
for people requiring 'care at home' for longer-during lifetime-by more
people. 
19. Q: what decline in institutionalised  living facilities are there in
UK ie mental health and Child care and showing how this will impact
community care.

A: show a need a demand not being met by current providers of care .

hence a gap in the market is forecast

20. Q: How the UK has changed over the years - over last 50 years?
I.e We used to care for our parents/grandparents ourselves thru to
current climate and how this has impacted the community care
market.
A) how family members are not able to 'care' for loved ones due to
moving out of area
B) They may be working themselves. (And not able to afford time or
commitment) to do this.
C) Other? reasons such as not as caring as they used to be / feeling
less responsibility to care etc 

21) how 24 hour/ LIVE IN care has increased in the UK and USA
over recent years ?
