Color Harmony
Color harmony is the synchronization, balance or the pleasantness of a group of color.

Acromatic Color Scheme


The “hue less” colors black, gray, and white, -
the whole range of gray levels between black
and white

Analogous Color Scheme


Analogous color schemes use colors that are
next to each other on the color wheel. They
usually match well and create harmonious
effect.

Complementary Color Scheme

Colors that are directly opposite to each other in a color wheel and appear opposite in character are
called complementary colors. They create a vibrant effect.

Triadic Color Scheme


A triadic color scheme uses colors that are evenly
spaced around the color wheel.

Split-Complementary Color Scheme


The split-complementary color scheme is a
variation of the complementary color scheme.
A color and the two colors adjacent to its direct
complement. It has high contrast but less contrast
than complimentary colors.

Temperature
The temperature of a color is its relative warmth or
coolness. Cool colors contain blue or green: blues,
greens, violets, and steps between them. Warm colors
are reds, oranges, yellow, and steps between them.

Tetradic Color Scheme


The rectangle or tetradic color scheme uses four
colors arranged into two complementary
pairs. It offers plenty of possibilities for
variation.
