FUN FACTS

Stars are bigger and brighter than our sun.

Our milky way is roughly 13.2 billion years

old. It can have up to 400 billion stars.

Stars get old, die out and new stars are

born. Giant stars explode into a bright
supernova when they die.

Stars have different colours depending on

their temperature. The hottest stars are
blue, followed by white, yellow, orange, red,
and the coolest stars are brown. However,
they all appear blue or white to the naked
eyes.

The brightest star in the night sky is Sirius

and it is found in the constellation of Canis
Major.

Venus is the brightest planet seen from

earth.
