 Why visit the Taj Mahal
Visiting the Taj Mahal is essential within a trip to India that
wants to go through the main points of interest in the
country. This monument represents the tragic love story of
Emperor Shah Jahan for Mumtaz Mahal, for which one of the
most impressive mausoleums in the world can be built.
How to get to Agra?
India is a huge country and you can visit the Taj Mahal from
hundreds of places, but the most common for it is New Delhi,
the capital. This unique monument is located in the city of
Agra.
Visit the Taj Mahal by plane
There are flights to Agra from all major cities in India and it is
one of the most comfortable ways to get there. If you fly from
New Delhi the journey will take 3 hours, while if you leave
from Varanasi you will arrive in just over an hour.
 What is interesting about the taj mahal
The Taj Mahal symbolizes Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan's
love for his favorite wife, Arjumand Banu Begum, also known
as Mumtaz Mahal, who died while giving birth to their
fourteenth child. The building is, in effect, a funerary
monument in honor of his wife

The main material of the building is pure marble imported from

Rajasthan, Tibet, Afghanistan and China. A curiosity is that it
acquires different shades depending on the time of day and the
intensity of the sun, so it can be perceived as whiter, more pink
or more golden.
