It would be fantistic if you learn italian during this months, so that when you come here you can
communicate by your own. You won’t need my translations anymore! Now I’m going to explain you
how to learn our wonderful language as well as possible.

First of all you must learn our grammar: I suggest that you buy a book with the basics of italian
grammar. Once you have learnt the most important things, start revising also some vocabulary. For
the listening and speaking skills, I reccomend that you watch italian movies (in italian, obviously!).
I’m sure you are gonna love them. Maybe you’ll find some difficulties at the beginning, specially with
the verbs! English verbs are really easy, as you don’t conjugate them. In Italian, instead, we have
different conjugations for each verb, according to the personal pronouns and tenses. Although the
rules are (in general) quite the same for the different verbs, we have also irregular verbs.

But don’t worry: even if at the beginning you don’t conjugate the verbs perfectly, it doesn’t matter.
Even italian people usually make mistakes with them. You have to focus on grammar and
vocabulary, and then practice by watching movies!It may seem complicated at the beginning, but
you’ll realize how easy it is very soon. I can’t wait to see you and to hear your italian.
