Pursuant to DepED Order No. 58, s. 2009 (Designating a Focal Office to Handle Concerns and Activities Relative to Parents-Teachers Associations and its Federations}, the Department of Education-Center for Students and Co-Curricular Affairs (DepEd- SCA) will conduct the Parents-Teachers Associations (PTA) Annual Coordinators Conference from April 27 to May 1, 2010 at the Gardens of Malasag, Eco-Tourism Village, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City. 2. This annual conference aims to achieve the following objectives: a, Evaluate the implementation of DepEd issuances for School Year 2009- 2010 relative to the Parents-Teachers Associations (PTAs) and its Federations and plan for its various programs and activities for School Year 2010-2011; b. Provide a forum to better understand and implement the provisions of pertinent DepEd issuances relative to the (PTAs) by identifying and resolving pertinent issues and concerns; c. Gather feedback and consult stakeholders relative to the various concerns and activities of the PTAs; d. Synchronize and strengthen the implementation of DepED Order Nos. 54, 58, 67, 77, s. 2009, DepEd Order No. 117, s. 2009 and such other issuances; and e. Consolidate participation of the PTAs and its Federations in the various programs and projects of the Department of Education and the schools. 3. Participants to this conference are all Regional PTA Coordinators (one representative each), selected Division PTA Coordinators (four representatives for each region coming from the big divisions to be chosen by the region), facilitators, resource persons, guests and the staff of the DepEd-CSCA. 4. Participants are expected to arrive before 12:00 nn on April 27, 2010 and to depart from the venue on May 1, 2010. The DepEd-CSCA shall shoulder the board and lodging beginning lunch on April 27, 2010 until breakfast on May 1, 2010 only. All DepEd-CSCA personnel are authorized to travel one (1) day before and one (1) day after the conference. “EFA 2015: Karanatan na Lahat. Pananaautan na Lahat!”5, _ Travel and other incidental expenses of participants shall be charged against local funds. Expenses for food and accommodation, supplies and materials, transportation of DepEd-CSCA personnel, resource persons, facilitators and guests and other incidental and necessary expenses of the conference shall be charged against DepEd Central Office funds. 6. _ All Regional and Division PTA Coordinators attending this conference are required and authorized to conduct similar conferences in the regional and division levels focusing on enabling other Division PTA Coordinators and School Principals to implement the mandate of the various DepEd Orders. 7. _ Participants are required to confirm their participation in writing, on or before April 15, 2010, indicating therein the time and date of arrival and departure, including the means of transportation taken.
