AMID COVID-19 PANDEMIC

In a small town there is a village called barangay PAG-ASA.

A family who live there mourn for the loss of their elderly
family member, who died inside their home, when
neighbourhood found out what happen, they immediately
disgraced and tempted the said family. The family experience
being discriminated. Even though that the cause of death is
still on process and not yet confirmed if it is because of COVID-19 or from complication of
other diseases. The family member is being secured and sanitized all the materials and tools.
One day because of poverty the eldest son named Jose, needs to look for a job to feed his
family. Luckily, Jose hired in the company he applied for. Because the company is strict when
it comes to work, the company required a rapid test or swab test as a protocol for the safety
measure of all the workers, then Jose found out that the result of his rapid test is negative and
he started to calm down and take a sweet smile, because he got a negative result, he assumes
that his family member has the same result. And because of the protocol measure of the
company, they need to wear a personal protective equipment or PPE. Every time he went home,
he brings his clothes and making sure that it was secured in a plastic bag and sealed, and it was
notice by the neighbour. The neighbour speaks up a bad word immediately and added that he
did not think about the conditions of others and even though he managed to work in the hospital.
Jose defends himself against the bashers and told them that he works in a factory. He
immediately run to their designated barangay to report the said incident, the barangay officials
immediately response to the report and the family undergo swab test to make sure that they are
not carrier of the virus, and they found out that all family members are negative for COVID-
19.
