COVID-19 is a very challenging situation. But also, an amazing opportunity to unlearn,
relearn and test our capabilities and value system.
So, let’s take this opportunity to do some integrated projects related to it, even though the
pandemic has pushed us in maintaining social distancing, but the challenge is also to remain
hyper connected via the virtual world and isolate COVID-19.
ENGLISH
Voice your opinion optimistically about the pandemic Covid -19 in a form of a short poetry
or elocution highlighting a positive outlook towards lockdown. Make a short video of not
more than 4 minutes. The students can submit their work through flipgrids. Codes are given

infected by COVID-19 in different states in India or in different countries and the number of
people who have recovered or succumbed due to the infection. Present your data in the form

Make a detailed report of strategies adopted by the governments all over the world in the
field of health and hygiene to tackle the community transmission of COVID-19. Submit it in

You may create your own mask, sanitizer or any other innovative thing which can help you
fight against or prevent COVID –19.

The Impact of Pandemic on Financial Market
Students are required to collect data relating to the stock prices of any five companies of
their choice before and after the lockdown respectively. (Mention the source from where the
data has been extracted. For example: NSE, Yahoo Finance etc)
After collection of the data, the students are required to analyse the trend in the stock prices
(i.e , if they are trending upwards or downwards) and list the possible reasons for the change
in the trend of stock prices.
The students may use tables and graphs to present and analyse their data.
The students are required to make a word document of the activity and submit the same
through teams app.
Information Technology
1. Type a letter to your friends explaining How Coronavirus lockdown has proven to be
blessing in disguise for IT sector. Your letter will serve as your form letter. Save your
letter as Mail Merge Letter.
2. Format the letter as left aligned (block letter) with .5” or 1” margins depending on the
length.
3. Make sure your address is listed at the top of the document. Then insert two blank
lines and put the date in the month, date, year format. Then enter four blank lines and
leave space for your merge fields. Example:

Address 2 City, State Pin Code

(Eventually you will be entering your merge fields to replace this information.)

4. Create a data source with the names and addresses of at least five friends to which you
wish to mail the letters. Create fields such as: title, first name, last name, address 1,
address 2, city, state, and pin code. Or make appropriate field names of your choice

 but make sure you include the address information. Save your data source as Mail
Merge Data.
5. Now, return to your main document (Mail Merge Letter) and set it as the form
document and identify your data source.
6. Enter your merge fields into your main document. Merge fields should be used for the
recipients address and after Dear.
7. After your merge fields are entered merge the document and save it. Save the merged
document as Mail Merge Merged.
8. Save your form letter, five merged letter and submit through Teams app.

Prepare a poster or painting of the changes which you see in the environment after lockdown.
Poster can be in Hindi or English. You may submit your work through padlet app.
SPORTS
Make a power point presentation explaining BMI and its categories. Also add the required
healthy diet plan and physical activities according to the categories of BMI in this
presentation. Submit it to your class teachers through teams app.o

Become a writer, editor, designer and create pages of your own e-magazine with the help of
software like flipping book or simple online magazine creator. Write a combination of points
that are required in your magazine (social skills, nutritional food, sense of dressing,
communication skills, passion, interest, leadership, combination of humour and intelligence,
handling personal expenses, sports).You can enrich your magazine with relevant video links,

Skill.

Information Technology:
Dedicate an area in your magazine to “Digital Health and Wellness”.
Research online or offline to make a list of good practice to prevent and reduce the following
problems associated with excessive use of digital devices.

Sports:

article, effect and impact of topic)

THEME 3 – CAKE ON BAKE
Take the broken pieces of your life, bake a master cake out of it. Don't stand still like a lake;
keep flowing like a stream! Israelmore Ayivo.

English:
Write a short paragraph in passive voice describing the process of baking a cake following
the hints given below. (Word limit 80-100 words)
Ingredients
1 cup (230g) butter
2 cups (400g) sugar
3 cups (375g) flour (all-purpose/plain)
4 eggs, separated
1 teaspoon vanilla extract/essence
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (240 ml) milk
Steps
1. Blend butter and sugar together.
2. Beat the yolk of 4 eggs and add vanilla essence.

3. Sift and add flour, baking powder and salt alternately with the milk, beating after each
addition.
4. Fold in 4 stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour batter into a lightly greased and floured. Fill 2/3
full.
5. Bake for 1 hour at 375ºF/190ºC. Before removing from pan, allow cake to cool for 10
minutes. Place on a wire cooling rack to cool completely after 10 minutes.
6. Decorate. When cool, dust with confectioner's sugar. This cake is best served with pieces
or fruit compote.

The dimensions of a cuboidal cake are in the ratio of 3: 2: 1 and its total surface are is
792cm2 . Find the dimensions of the cake. Also, if the top face of the cake is covered with
chocolate flavour and rest of the cake is covered with vanilla flavour, find which flavour
covered more area and by how much?
Science:
Bake a cake in the presence of an elder and try to verify the scientific concept about the
formation of spongy cake. Write down the reaction involved in the form of balanced
chemical equation and explain the type of reaction involved. Suggest two more examples of
