A GOTHIC ROMANCE

The legendary story by Bram Stoker had many film versions made and
this is one of the most interesting ones from director Francis Ford Coppola. The
main character of the novel is Count Dracula, who has become one of the most
famous vampires in literature. Bram Stoker used Vlad Tepes as a source of
inspiration for the novel Dracula.
It took Bram Stoker seven years to write Dracula. One theory says that
the writer himself admitted that after a meal of dressed crab in a restaurant in
London, Stoker had a nightmare about blood-sucking creatures and this
inspired him to write Dracula.
Probably the most artistic and romatic version of Dracula you will ever
see. It isn't completely scary, but it is a dark and mysterious tale. As one would
expect, there are plenty of horrific moments. However, it is a romance where
Dracula seduces Mina.
It stays close to the original novel, it looks dreadful, it has a good cast
and it’s good entertainment. Overall, I would certainly recommend this to
anybody who wants a horror film that isn't just about the horror.
