To let people know what actually happened because not everyone
witnessed this accident. And how eyewitness survived this incident.

2,What is the purpose of the composition?


The purpose of the composition was to inform the readers of the
destruction and the silence that it caused in the city. He wanted to be
able to showcase the importance of the silence and why it was there.

3,What is the subject?


The subject in the text is earthquake. Earthquake hit the San francisco
bay area, killing people’s and causing more than thousand dollars
Despite the fact that disaster was one of the most powerful and
destructive earthquake ever to hit a populated area of the United
States, The death toll was relatively small.

He emphasizes the destruction in the aftermath and relates it back to
the frail and damaging nature of man in San Francisco. The fact that
one single earthquake can bring such complete destruction in such a
short period of time.

Natural disaster represent a main theme on this text . Earthquake along
the san Andreas fault line cause the entire west coast of California to be
on high alert for disaster. The 9.6 magnitude earthquake in San
Francisco then causes a mega tsunami which wipes out the city in one
fell swoop.

The tone in the essay is quite serious when talking about the
destruction that was caused. When he describe the silence after the
