How To Protect Yourself Against The Omicron Variant?

The Omicron variant is a variant of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes

COVID-19) that was first reported to the World Health Organization from South
Africa on 24 November 2021. The Omicron variant spreads more easily than the
original virus that causes COVID-19 and the Delta variant. CDC expects that
anyone with Omicron infection can spread the virus to others, even if they are
vaccinated or don’t have symptoms. There is consistent evidence that Omicron is
spreading significantly faster than the Delta variant in countries with documented
community transmission, with a doubling time of 2-3 days. The overall risk related
to this new variant remains very high. Nevertheless, you can do many things to
avoid getting infected by the Omicron variant.

First, you need the following things to help protect yourself from Omicron variant,
such as :
● Mask
● Vaccines
● Hand sanitizer
● Antiseptic Soap
● Face shields

The steps :
1. First, wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth. Make sure that your
hands are clean when you put on and remove your mask.
2. Then, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth before washing your
hands.
3. Keep a physical distance of at least 1 meter from others.
4. Avoid poorly ventilated or crowded spaces.
5. Open windows to improve ventilation indoors.
6. Keep the environment clean and clean the house, including objects that are
often touched.
7. Wash your hands regularly.
8. When it’s your turn, get vaccinated. WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines are
safe and effective.
