Dr. Alexis Brianne Bookard, 103, died someday in 2100 at home where she lived with her
middle daughter. She passed surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.

Alexis was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on March 10, 1997, to Tekesha D. Sessoms and
Samuel R. Bookard Sr. She is a 2015 graduate of Harry S. Truman Highschool. After high
school, Alexis went to college at Bucks County Community College in Newtown, PA. Where
she graduated in 2019 with an associate degree in Health Science, and a Certification in
Phlebotomy. Then in 2022 she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mansfield
University of Pennsylvania. She completed and graduated from Howard University in 2027
where she received her PH.D.
Alexis got married to the love of her life in July 2025. Her and her husband had 5 children. They
relocated to Atlanta, Ga in 2027 where Alexis started her practice in 2030. Her practice grew
tremendously, and she was able to employ friends who worked in the same field. She retired in
2057 but she still over seen her practice giving guide to those under her create a safe workplace.
Her son Ameris-Carter now owns the practice once his mother, became unable to see about it.

She attended the House of God Church Keith Dominion, Inc. in Bristol Pa where’d she been
going from many years. She relocated to another location in Atlanta, Georgia. She was dedicated
to her church and held many positions.

In 2022 she began Teach for America, where she was able to go to a location and help teach in
different areas to kids who need teachers. She opened a non-profit organization where she’d help
teen mothers, homeless children and adults help them get back on their feet. There wasn’t
anything she wouldn’t do to help those in need around her even she didn’t know them. Even in
here later years she continued to help those in need. Although with age she slowed down, she
would still give money to various people and organizations in need. She stopped physically
going out to help at 88 but always called and checked on organizations.

Her days were never wasted by just sitting around, there was always something for her to do. She
had a bucket list in which completed. From jumping out of an airplane for sky diving to
swimming with the sharks and doing mission programs in other countries to help those in need.
She traveled to over 100 countries by the age of 70. Her children had been to at least 35 countries
with her as a family.

Before the age of 40 she had become a multi-millionaire, with her clothing company she had at
the age of 25. By age 50 she received an APA award for outstanding lifetime contributions. By
age 65 she had received the key to the city of Atlanta for giving back to the community and
starting multiple programs that funded those in need.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She
leaves to celebrate her legacy her 5 children and their spouses (3 boys and 2 girls) Ameris-
Carter, Leilani-Mae, Ezra-Jae, Xavier-Rubin, and Isabella-Alexia. A loving grandmother to her
19 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Her 4
Godchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and other loved ones (cousins, friends, and
community she loved).
Alexis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her mother Tekesha D. Sessoms, her
father Samuel R. Bookard Sr.
We, the family of the late Alexis Bookard, solicit your continued prayers during the time of
grief. We want to take this moment to thank all those who have shown affection and much love
to Alexis over the years. A thank you would never be sufficient enough to show our gratitude
towards you. WE THANK YOU and WE LOVE YOU!
