Strategic business analysis occurs when the organizations already identified the

strategic initiatives (the goals and visions) in strategic planning. It also happens before
creating the business case, conducting procurement (obtaining goods and services for
business purposes) and implementation of the business. Strategic business analysis
occurs in order for business to change and initiates the building of business capability. It
also establishes and provides the foundations for the program and its work-streams or
projects.
Strategic business analysis facilitates business transformation through strategy
execution and strategic initiatives developed by strategy analysis (the process of
conducting research on a company and its operating environment to formulate a
strategy). This strategic business analysis allows the business to articulate and
accelerate the transformation (includes digital, service and cultural change). This
strategy performed on a strategic initiative (may be regarded as a program with several
streams of work, or projects that together achieve the desired business outcome) that is
required to meet the desired business outcome. It also involves outcome focused
thinking, simultaneously understanding business context (encompasses an
understanding of the factors impacting the business from various perspectives),
business challenges, and the complexities of the internal and external environment to
frame the scope of the transformation, articulate the business need/outcome, and shape
the agenda for transformation. Focusing in all aspects of the organizations is a must
when it comes to strategic business analysis. It support business analysis, change
leadership, and program and project management.
