Republic of the Philippines Department of Education DAVAO REGION Office of the Regional Director MEMORANDUM To Schools Division Superintendents Subject: REGIONAL WRITESHOP ON DEVELOPING PROGRAM FOR INAL STUDENT ASSESSMENT (PISA) - LIKE IONS FOR TEACHERS Date February 17, 2022 The Curriculum and Learning Management Division of the Department of Education, Region XI, in collaboration with the University of Southeastern Philippines, College of Education, Bo, Obrero, Davao City will conduct a Regional Writeshop on Developing Program for International Student Assessment (PISA)-Like Test Questions for Teachers to address the performance gap of learners on international assessments in a face-to-face modality on February 28-March 11, 2022 at RELC-NEAP, Quirino Street, Davao City. The goal of the activity is to provide teachers with technical assistance in developing and writing PISA-like test questions, to revisit the concept and appropriate application of HOT- like questions, and to devise strategies for creating sound PISA-like test questions that develop and measure the learners’ critical thinking, logical reasoning, and reading comprehension. Participants to this activity are teachers from Grades 3, 10 and 12 per division with good working attitude and willing to produce the required outputs The live-in participants’ board and lodging, travel, and other incidental expenses will be charged to Regional and Local Funds, respectively, while the members of the technical ‘working group and DepEd trainers’ food, ladging, and other incidental expenses will be charged. to local funds, all subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
