-Do not eat or drink in the lab.

-Do not make noise

-You must follow instructions

-Do not remove any electronic gadgets from the socket(plug)

-You should not lotter in the lab.

-You switch on\off the machine when ou are told to do so.

-You should leave the bags on a corner.

Introduction to I.C.T
-I.C.T stands for information communication and technology.

-We use computers in our everday lives to communicate to one another e.g cellphones you call
relatives, friends e.t.c.

-You can also use e-mails, video calls e.t.c

Computer
-A computer is an electronic device that is capable of inputing, outputting, processing and
storing data.

-A computer is made up of two componets (hardware and software)

Hardware
-Computer hardware are the physica parts of the computer system e.g hard drive, mouse,
keyboard,Monitor, and phone.

Software
-Computer software are set of instructions that tells a computer to perform a certain part.

-There are two types of computer softwares e.g operating system/system software and
application software

-Operating system is the system that controls computer operations (Resource manager) e.g
windows, ios, ubuntu,linux e.t.c

Application softwares
-These are programs design to perform specific tasks e.g word processing,games

-The cpu is the brain of the computer.

-It is where all the searching, sorting, calculating and decision making takes place.

-The speed of the cpu is measured in Gigahertz

-A 1GHz CPU can carry out 1 billion instructions per second

-Intel and AMD are the most popular CPU brands
