FIRST

CONDITIONAL
WHAT FOR?

The First Conditional is used to talk about the logical result

of an action. Keep in mind it is about future.
It is about a specific situation.

STRUCTURE

If Clause + Main Clause in Future Simple (will)

Remember, you can invert the clauses.
If Clause, Main Clause --> The comma is mandatory this way. If
you invert it there's no need to use the comma.

EXAMPLES

If you keep eating like that, you'll be sick tomorrow.

Laura will lose that job is she takes all those hours.

CAUTION!

Zero Conditional is used to describe general situations. For

example: If you stay under the sun too much time, you get
burnt. (It is the rule).

First Conditional is used to describe a particular moment.

For example: If you don't use sun cream, you'll get burnt.
(This is for today's situation, this person probably uses sun
cream often).
