Project 2:

Timeline: 9 April 2015 – 10 June 2016


Methodology – Waterfall, Team Size – 1- 10, Budget – 0 – 1 M $
Objective: To develop an online Billing portal for internal billing and external
customers to manage their subscriptions.
Role: I was the Project Lead to implement the online Billing portal.
Project Initiation: Identified the stakeholders and created the stakeholder
register. Performed stakeholder analysis to align expectations and gain support
for the project. Participated in the development of the project charter by
compiling and information.
Project Planning: Developed a scope management plan, based on the approved
project scope to define, maintain, and manage the scope of the project. Created
WBS, schedule and defined activities based on project scope statement,
Requirement Traceability Matrix, Risk Register. Developed the human resource
management plan by defining the roles and responsibilities of the project team
members in order to create a project organizational structure and provide
guidance regarding how resources will be assigned and managed. Developed
the procurement management plan to ensure that the required project resources
will be available.

Project Execution: Managed project team and stakeholder communications.


Facilitated technical and domain based training activities for the project team.
Updated project documents with change requests. Managed the flow of
information by following the communications plan to keep stakeholders
engaged and informed.
Project Monitoring and Control: Tracking and reviewing project progress and
communicating work performance reports to relevant stakeholders. Undertook
scope validation in every project stage. Captured and managed lessons learned
to enable continuous improvement. Reviewed the issue log and determined
corrective actions to minimize the impact on the project.
Project Closing: Collate lessons learned that were documented throughout the
project and conduct a comprehensive project review in order to update the
organization's knowledge base. Archive project documents and materials using
generally accepted practices in order to comply with statutory requirements and
for potential use in future projects and audits.
Outcome: An online Billing portal was implemented to manage customer
subscriptions and creating online billing invoices internally.
