Covid-19 pandemic is affecting worldwide.

The global spread of coronavirus has led to dramatic loss of lives worldwide. This Covid-19
pandemic crisis presents the greatest challenge in a decade to humans’ daily lives and the
global economy. The entire world has the same goal: cases of Covid-19 need to go zero.
There are actually several simple hygienic measures that can be practised in our daily lives to
protect us against Coronavirus.

The spread of COVID-19 happens most frequently among people through direct, close contacts.
This type of transmission occurs via respiratory droplets. However, there is also the possibility
for a person to get infected by touching a contaminated surface or object and then touching their
own mouth, nose, or eyes. Based on the latest studies, current evidence suggested that the
virus could survive on a surface for a few hours up to several days. Therefore, cleaning and
sanitizing objects and surfaces, especially those that are frequently touched such as doorknobs,
handles, tabletops, escalators can help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Community should practise the routine of cleaning and sanitizing regularly to prevent the spread
of Covid-19. Proper cleaning and sanitizing are important for reducing the risk of coronavirus
infection. One can clean and sanitize the highly touched area such as door knobs and handles
regularly with alcohol based solutions. This hygiene measure is aimed at limiting the survival of
viruses in the environment. Besides, washing your hands with antibacterial hand wash and
water frequently can also reduce the risk of being infected. Some key times of washing hands
are after contact with others, before eating and after using the washrooms. We can always bring
along alcohol based hand sanitizers and sanitizing wipes with us to sanitize our hands regularly
if soap and water are not readily available.

In short, we can reduce the risk of infection by maintaining good hygienic conditions all the time.
Sanitizing hands and highly contacted areas regularly can protect us against the virus infection.
