Discuss how being a Filipino affects your “self.

” How can becoming a better

Filipino influence your duty to becoming a better version of yourself?

For me, being a Filipino is something to be proud of. Filipinos are known by
other countries for being a hospitable, honest, respectful, religious people and
many more. I think being a filipino has a big influence on who I am today.
Filipinos are focused on the characters of every child. Starting with our family,
as we grew up our parents taught us to do “pag mamano” as a greeting and
saying “po” and “opo” to elders. Being an honest person is one of the best
characteristics they taught to us, especially in schools, you'll see in the wall or
in hallways posted a quote "Honesty is the best policy". A Filipino heart show
kindness, happiness, inspirations and sacrifices. No matter how hard life is,
there's nothing to give up. No matter how much money you have, there's no
reason not to be happy. Being hospitable is what Filipinos do best. Even
though there's nothing left in our pocket, in a moment the visitors will see
delicious foods or snacks in front of them. Being a Filipino influences me to be
a better version of myself by adapting the Filipino good traits and values. The
way Filipino smile, the way Filipino serve, the way Filipino face consequences
and the way Filipino spread kindness, morals, best characters and to be a God
centered person gave us reasons to be a better person.
