Resident Opportunity
and Self-Sufficiency Program
Hello,
HUD is excited to announce that the Department has selected your agency to receive a Fiscal Year
(FY) 2021 Resident Opportunity and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) grant award. Click here to view
awarded grantees and fund amounts. Please carefully read the details below:
PLEASE NOTE: The NOA has not yet been sent to you. HUD will notify you after sending it and
will provide instructions once your Authorizing Official is able to accept the award by electronically
signing the NOA in GMM.
Once we receive this information, HUD will create and send user account information to AORs that
do not have an existing GMM account. Please wait for further instructions.
Grant Term and Extensions:
The grant term for your FY2021 ROSS award will be June 1, 2022 – May 31, 2025.
Renewal grantees may request reimbursement under the FY 2021 grant for eligible costs
incurred between March 17, 2022 and May 31, 2022, where such costs are necessary for
the efficient and timely performance of eligible activities under the prior FY2018 ROSS-SC
grant, and the grantee has expended all its FY2018 ROSS-SC grant funds. HUD will
include further guidance for requesting reimbursement in your FY2021 ROSS Agreement.
Grantees may request an extension up to May 31, 2022 for their FY2018 grant if there are
remaining unexpended funds. Please send the request to your local HUD Field/Area Office.
Renewal grantees that received a reduction to their FY2021 ROSS award due to a
significant unexpended balance of their FY2018 ROSS grant may request a grant extension
beyond May 31, 2022 for their FY2018 grant. Please note, the grant term start date for
your FY21 ROSS award will continue to be June 1, 2022.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email ROSS-PIH@hud.gov
Thank you,
The ROSS Team
