known Lauren since she was in high school, and I had the good fortune of recruiting her
to JMU where she was my saxophone student and academic advisee.

Lauren Carr is as talented and as hardworking as any student that I have ever had in my
studio. She consistently placed into top ensembles, presented fantastic performances, and
excelled academically. In addition to these accomplishments, Lauren proved herself to
be highly creative, quick on her feet, and a compassionate leader.

Lauren is punctual, reliable, organized, and thoroughly professional. With all of these
wonderful attributes, her most outstanding characteristic is her kindness and her sense of
