Greetings!!
This is to inform you that the Ministry of Education is starting the “Veergatha
Project” from October 21, on the proposal of the Ministry of Defense.“The
Veergatha project is being organized by the Department of School Education and
Literacy and will run from October 21 to November 20.In this, students from Grade III
to Grade XII will be able to participate.

The students participating in it will have to prepare a project on the life and sacrifice of
the heroes who have received medals and honors for bravery. It can be in the form of
poetry, essays, paintings, multi-media presentations including videos, etc

Grade Activity
III to V Poem/Paragraph (150 words) / Painting on the person who received
gallantry award
VI to VIII Poem/Essay (300 words) / Painting on the person who received
gallantry award / video presentation ( Enactment Video)
IX and X Poem/Essay (750 words) / Painting on the person who received
gallantry award / video presentation ( Enactment Video)
XI and XII Poem/Essay (1000 words) / painting on the person who received
gallantry award / video presentation ( Enactment Video)

Topic of the Project will be:

If I had been……………. (Name of the Gallantry Award Winner), what would I
have done for my nation?
Or ______________ (Name of the Gallantry Award Winner) motivates me
to…………

Award:
1. 25 selected entries will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 by the Ministry of
Defence.

2. Each of the 25 winners will be invited and honoured on the Republic Day of
2022 at Delhi.

3. All students whose entry will be uploaded on the CBSE Veer Gatha portal will get an E-
certificate of Participation.

Note: Students shall submit their project to the class teacher latest by 6 th
November 2021.
