Multiplying Decimals: Instructions

Rules of Play:
• Each player starts with their own Multiplying Decimals Game Board.
• The Multiplying Decimals Playing Cards go in a pile, face down, in the middle
of the group.
• Someone from the group flips over the top card from the pile.
• Depending on how you would like to play, group members can solve the
problem together or individually on the answer sheet.
• After solving the problem, students find the answer on their game board and
cover it with a counter (or scrap of paper!).
• The first player to connect four in a row (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally)
wins the game!

Tips for Teachers:

• This game can be played with 2-6 students.
• If you choose to let students work together to solve the problem, I would
recommend having each individual student still show their work on the answer
sheet.

Teacher Directions for Digital Use:

• Create your copy of the Google slides version using the link at
the bottom of the previous page.

• Share one copy of the game with each group. For example, if
you have a group of 4 playing against each other, All members
of that group should be in the same copy. You can do this by
making a copy of your teacher copy and then sharing it with the
players in that group.

• For game play, follow the instructions on the digital copy. A

video is also included in those instructions (for you or students
to watch!).
