The chart shows the percentage of the Gross Domestic Product of the UK in two
components : IT industry and Service Industry in the period between 1992 and
2000
Overall , it appeared that both industries presented an upward trend over the
period . The proportion of IT Industry also seemed to outnumber that of the
Service Industry all the time
The smallest difference was in the 1996 when IT Industry only showed about 1
percent higher than the other one , while in 2000 there was a significant gap
between them as the IT industry was almost double the Service one . From 1996
to 2000 , the IT service dramatically rocketed with 8 percent more .
Conversely , the Service Industry gradually increased over the period .The year
2000 witnessed the peak of 15 percent and 8 percent respectively
