"My Sister's Shoes' is an extract from the Iranian feature film 'Children of
Heaven' written and directed by Majid Majidi. The story is about a boy who loses
his sister's shoes. The theme of the movie is universal. The children in the movie
love each other. They know that their Dad isn't in a position to buy a new pair of
shoes for Zahra. They are also aware of their mother's ill-health. They are afraid
to talk aloud. They write notes to each.
The two children solve their problem as the grown ups do. They plan to share
Ali's sneakers. When Ali returns home from school, Zahra can use them for her
school in the afternoon, Everyone who sees the film will love these two children,
sure.
We see that All's home is a happy home amidst miseries. The members of the
family do not fight for silly matters. Instead they love and respect each other. The
film is worth seeing.

What a cruel fate! Was so careless to put Zahra's repaired shoes on the vegetable
box. Can't think! lost her shoes. Zahra too was worried. Begged her not to tell
anything to Dad. Dad is working hard to support us. Yet he can't find the money
for the treatment of Mom. It is a great relief that Zahra has agreed to share my
sneakers. We will go on like this until we find a way to buy a pair of new shoes.
An unforgettable day in my life.
