ABSTRACT

Films aren‘t mere aesthetic-filled motion pictures that the public is meant to consume
blindly and aimlessly. Regardless of what genre it is or its length, it‘s always a product of
reality or at least the reality we aspire to have. At the end of the day, it is a reflection of
humanity and its society. This is why we chose to analyze Darryl Yap‘s works, Online Class
and #AYUDAmn. If a film‘s job is to highlight reality and express the thoughts and
experiences of its people, it‘s vital that we explore pieces that is bluntly set in reality.
Precisely why we chose the director‘s creation, because aside from its portrayal of the
impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we think it‘s also an opportunity to examine why his
works were subject to criticisms from the public. With that, we‘ll be using various themes of
class, culture, language and history in analyzing its contents and implications.

ABSTRAKT
Ang pelikula ay hindi lamang basta palamuti na kinokonsumo ng masa nang walang
taros at walang patutunguhan. Hindi alintana ang genre at haba ng pelikula, dahil palagi itong
produkto ng realidad o ng realidad na inaasam nating makuha. Pakatandaan na ang lahat ng
