During this time Ashley has been actively involved in assessments, counseling, consultation and delivering Tier 2 academic interventions. Ashley brings a wide range of skills to the role due to her experiences in education as well as in the field of school psychology. Ashley has readily taken on all tasks with enthusiasm and continually seeks opportunities to advance her training. First and foremost, Ashley demonstrates a solid foundation of professionalism, organization, and responsibility. She seamlessly manages her caseload between two buildings and appropriately balances her priorities. Ashley has taken an active role to be involved in a variety of ways including building instructional support teams, observations, behavior consultation, academic intervention, counseling, and traditional assessment. She is thoughtful in identifying appropriate interventions and assessment instruments based on the needs of the students. Ashley’s ability to make connections with students allow her to effect positive change. She is able to communicate clear and concise information, both in person and in writing, which also enhances her work. In addition to her direct work with students, Ashley has been a member of different building level support teams to address student needs. Other staff members have observed her to be professional and knowledgeable adding value to meetings through offering observations, interventions or ways she could directly provide support. Ashley has demonstrated a high level of independence in consulting with teachers as appropriate. Her ability to establish rapport with others facilitates the development of a trusting relationship and she is consequently regarded as an effective team member. It is without hesitation that I would recommend Ashley for a position as a School Psychologist. Her professional knowledge, work ethic, and interpersonal skills will make her an asset to any school community.
