Foreword
You have decided on the MMI Navigation plus - thank you very much fo r
your confidence in us.
Wit h your new Audi, you are receiv ing a veh icle w ith a state-of-the art system
that allows you t he change the vehi cle's settings and operate t he electron ic
equipment using a Mult i Media Inte rface called the MMI.

We recommend that you read these Operating Instructions carefully so that you
q uickly get to know a ll of the functions and poss ibiliti es that the MMI offers and
a re able to make full use of t hem while driv ing.

Please note that these instruct ions a re a supplement to your vehicle Owner's
Manua l and should on ly be used in conju nction with yo ur cu rre nt vehicle Owne r's
Manual.

The cell ular telephone preparation * allows


you to use all the different features on your
cellular telephone.

There are several ways you can access t he


wide range of Infotainment functions in your
vehicle . There are three ways to do this: MMI
control panel, the m ultifunction steering
wheel or using the voice recognition system.

Traffic safety
information
Audi recommends only perform ing important
functions such as enter ing a navigat ion desti-
nation* when the vehicle is stat ionary. Always
remember to stop using the MMI if necessary
to ensure your safety and the safety of other
drivers.

_& WARNING
- Driving requires yo ur complete and undi-
vided attention. As the driver, you have
complete responsibility for safety in traf-
fic. Onlyuse the MMIsystem when traf-
fic conditions permit and always in a way
that allows you to maintain complete
control over yo ur vehicle.
- Adjust the volume of the aud io system so
signals from outside the vehicle such as
police and fire sirens can be heard easily
at all times.
- Always follow the safety precautions in
~ page 43 when using the Audi con-
nect services and the safety precautions
in ~ page 46 when using t he wire less
hotspot.
- Obey all applicable laws regarding use of
telephones in vehicles.
